Subject: Have You Hugged Your Mother Today?
I guess we are getting really close to the wedding since my (Alli's) mother is here making things happen. McMom (as Damon calls her) will be doing most of the food for the wedding reception and helping with all the final details. One of our church friends, Linda Findley, is throwing us a shower next week, so it is really nice that Momma can be here for that.
Damon is busy working on the house that we do not officially own yet. The supports under the house need to be replaced and Damon has taken upon himself to to do that "little" project. It is frustrating to know that if it was left up to the owner of the house it would take almost two weeks, and since we want to close the house before that, Damon offered to get it done this weekend.
Please pray that all the work on the house will get done really soon and the house will be ours by the end of the month.

Subject: Have You Had Your Shower Today?
Well, we're headed off to Montgomery later today for the first of the ceremonial "Wedding Showers." This one is taking place at my (Damon) home church, Faith Presbyterian. However, many of Alli's friends and family from the area will also be attending. Keep your fingers crossed that we might get many of the cool items we registered for.

Subject: Be it Ever So Humble...
Some of you may know that we're in the process of looking for a house in Saint Elmo. Well, we've found a house on the corner of Virginia and 49th street that we're trying to buy. Just recently, I was approved for a loan through AmSouth Bank. There are several improvements that the owner has agreed to make before the sale, so right now, we're waiting on the contractors to finish their work. But fear not, everyone involved is committed to closing the deal by the end of March.
