Rehearsal
Dinner |
|
|
This is an "invitation only" type
event
Besides the consumption of food after the rehearsal of the wedding, we will also be having
a small Scottish ceremony called "the plaiding of the bride." It is where the
groom's mother, in this case Linda Crumley, will give the bride a sash of the groom's
clan. It symbolizes the acceptance of the bride into the groom's family. The sash will be
then worn in the wedding the next day.
The Rehearsal Dinner will be
held at Saint Elmo Presbyterian Church. Please note that this
is not the church where the ceremony will be held.

Wedding
Ceremony |
|
|
This part of the wedding is where Damon and
Alicia actually get married. This is done through the exchanging of vows, rings, and
a lot
of kissing (okay, just a little kissing).
We would like to mention that the wedding has a Scottish theme. We know that dictating the
attire for the guests of the wedding is kind of "tacky" but we would like to
mention that kilts are acceptable if any of the male guests wish to wear them.
The ceremony will be held at
Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church, in Flintstone, Georgia. If you
need directions, you can find them here.

Wedding
Reception |
|
|
Would anyone like to party? Well the reception is the
celebration of the bride and groom becoming a married couple, and we, Damon and Alicia,
would really like to celebrate that event. Of course there will be the ceremonious cutting
of the cake and the tossing of the bride's bouquet. Also, there will be heavy hors
d'ouvres (for those who forgot to eat lunch) and dancing (to exercise off that lunch you
ate). Then at the end of the party you will get to see Damon and his new bride off
to their honeymoon destination with customary throwing of the something (that
part is a surprise, it isn't what you would normally expect).
The reception will be held at
Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church, directly following the
ceremony.

Honeymoon
Destination |
|
|
I don't know if telling everyone where our honeymoon
destination will be is a good idea, but I guess I can give you a small hint:
Florida.
Okay, that was a rather large hint. We are taking off for sunny Ft. Lauderdale for a few
days then getting on a cruise ship to visit Nassau, Bahamas for a day. When we return to
the mainland we will be staying Orlando where we will visit some of the local attractions
there. We haven't decided yet which ones we want to visit, but we'll let you know after
the honeymoon.
