Ok guys, I’ve done the research on the kilts and here’s what
I’ve found:
All of the Groomsmen are required to wear a Kilt
(Your Choice of Tartan), Prince Charlie Waistcoat, Tuxedo Shirt (short collar), Off-White
Kilt Hose, Black Wing-Tip Shoes, Sporan*, Black Bow-Tie, Sjian Dubh, and Kilt Flashes.
Everyone will be responsible for their own shirt and bow
tie. I've researched options on the rest:
"I want to buy a kilt
and rent the rest!"
"I can't afford a kilt! I want to rent everything."
"How the heck do I know what size to get?"

Some of us are interested in purchasing the kilt and renting the rest. In this
case, the rental for everything but the kilt, shirt, hose, and shoes will cost $45 (+ $19
for kilt hose purchase) from a place I found on the web called Cabar

The place I
found to purchase kilts from is called Richardson's Tartan
Shop. They once had a little site that isn't up any more. But, I was able
to find them listed here.
I’ve decided to get a medium weight (11oz. to 13 oz. cloth)
kilt for $490 Canadian (about $250 American) + shipping. You can view how to measure
yourself here. It will take about 8 weeks to have them made. |

Rent
everything |

For those wanting to rent the kilt, you have a few options

Sizings |
|
|
- Length - Have someone measure the
length from about one inch above your naval to the middle of your knee cap
- Waist - Measure around your waist (over
shirt, remove belt). This measurement will be #3 on the diagram.
- Hip - With feet together, measure around
your seat (over trousers). This measurement will be #4 on the diagram.

We will need measurements for
accessories as well. Please measure your height, weight, shoe size, chest
circumference, and arm length. Arm length is measured with arms out, from your neck to your
wrist. |
